Become the Pilot of Your Life

October 16 & 17, 2026

LIEF Amsterdam

What can you expect?

During “Become the Pilot of Your Life,” you’ll discover why you do what you do. You’ll learn to recognize the unconscious patterns that influence your choices, behavior, and relationships—not to become a different person, but to finally be able to consciously choose how you want to live, lead, and respond. Because only when you see what drives you will you gain the freedom to chart your own course in life.

“You don’t react to what’s happening. You react to what you think is happening.
And as long as you don’t realize that, you’ll keep doing exactly what you’ve always done.”

Deep down, you already know it. That certain patterns keep repeating themselves. That you function well, solve problems, and persevere, but at the end of the day, not much changes. Very little actually changes. And that has nothing to do with effort or intelligence.

In a fraction of a second, your brain forms a picture of what’s going on—based on past experiences, assumptions, and beliefs that you haven’t consciously chosen in a long time. It happens in the blink of an eye, completely automatically, and it feels like the truth.

But it’s your truth. Not the truth.

Seeing the difference between them—that’s the first step toward taking control.

WHAT THIS EVENT IS

"Become the Pilot of Your Life" is a two-day program that explores how your brain works, what you’re unconsciously steering toward, and how you can turn that around.

Dominique Schreinemachers is a behavioral psychologist, mediator, and founder of The Boost Academy, a behavioral training academy for professionals. Her twenty years as an operational pilot in the military provided her with a unique laboratory for observing human behavior under pressure—including her own.

Drawing on the behavioral model developed by Hein Heijen—a clinical and social psychologist with a background in neuroscience—Dominique demonstrates how selective perception works, how emotion colors your perception, and how you can move from reacting unconsciously to making conscious choices. Grounded in neuropsychology, this is brought to life through her own story.

"Become the Pilot of Your Life" is where you learn to recognize the pattern within yourself and where, for the first time, you take the wheel yourself.

WHAT TO PACK

You’ll go home with more than just a new insight. You’ll recognize the moment when you react automatically, right as it happens. You’ll realize that in certain situations, you’re already in much more control than you thought. And you’ll go home with your own flight plan—a concrete answer to the question of what you’ll do differently tomorrow.

After all, you've seen it for yourself now. And that's what sticks with you.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This event is for you if you’ve already done everything necessary to understand who you are, yet still feel there’s more to discover. You’re used to taking responsibility. You’re sharp-minded, and sometimes that wears you out. You want to know what truly drives everything, beneath everything you already know.

I’m not going to give you a step-by-step plan that you just have to follow. I’ll show you what you’re already capable of. That can be challenging at times, but above all, it’s enlightening. And that’s exactly why it’s so valuable.
